Titusville Summer Theater is absolutely thrilled to present "The Addams Family," the hilariously macabre musical comedy that will have you snapping your fingers and tapping your toes!
This isn't your average family reunion! Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, and Grandma are all here, and their delightfully spooky world is about to be turned upside down. When Wednesday Addams falls in love with a "normal" guy and invites him and his family over for dinner, the stage is set for a comically creepy collision of families, secrets, and plenty of Addams Family antics. With catchy tunes, witty dialogue, and the iconic Addams Family charm, this musical is a guaranteed treat for the whole family (even the slightly morbid ones!). Prepare for an evening of laughter, love, and a healthy dose of the delightfully bizarre. "The Addams Family" promises each audience member an unforgettable theatrical experience that you won't want to miss!

Everything you need to know to become an Addams
(or a Beineke!):
- Children, ages 9-13
- All youth auditioners must be prepared to sing Pugsley’s song, “What If”, even if you are not auditioning for Pugsley; young auditioners will not need to sing any other songs.
- Their audition will consist of singing “What If” and group acting and dancing workshops. The environment will be fun and collaborative!
- There will be openings for a small number of children to participate in The Addams Family. Pugsley, however, is the only speaking role that is open to young performers. Teen and adult actors will make up the ancestors. Both children and adults will be considered for puppeteering opportunities.
- Please attend auditions promptly at 7:00pm on Saturday, April 12th.
- Teens and Adults, ages 14+
- Please prepare 32 bars of a song not from "The Addams Family".
- An accompanist will be provided; please bring sheet music.
- Auditioners will be asked to read from the script of The Addams Family. Audition sides will be available in the lobby to review prior to auditioning.
- Some auditioners will need to attend dance auditions on April 13th. See the breakdown below for more information.
- There will be three groups of cast members in the show:
- Ancestors
- The ancestors will each have a unique personality and costume from various periods in history. The director and costume designer will work closely with your to develop your ancestor character.
- The ancestors will be busy throughout the show, featured in many songs and scenes with opportunities for lines and solos among the ancestors.
- Those strictly interested in being an ancestor are encouraged to attend auditions on Saturday, April 12th between 8:00 and 9:00pm.
- Featured Dance Ancestors
- Anyone interested in being considered for a featured dance position please attend auditions on Sunday, April 13th and stay for the dance auditions. You will also sing and read as normal.
- Principle Roles
- Callbacks may be held for any of the principal roles, if needed. These will be held at 5:00pm on Sunday, April 13th.
- Younger Pugsley auditioners will dance on Saturday and do not need to return for Sunday’s dance audition.
- Please attend auditions on Sunday, April 13th and stay for the dance auditions.
- Everyone auditioning for a principal role will need to dance in the show. Many of these characters do not need to dance well, but need people willing to commit to learning choreography.

- Ancestors

- Saturday, April 12th
- 7:00pm-8:00pm, for ages 9-13
- Please come promptly at 7pm and plan to stay until 8pm.
- All children (ages 9-13) who wish to audition must audition during this time or make prior arrangements with the production team for an alternate audition.
- 8:00pm-9:00pm, for ages 14+
- Auditions for non-dancers; there will be no dance auditions during this time slot. If you are interested in being considered for a named role, you must audition on Sunday, April 13th.
- 7:00pm-8:00pm, for ages 9-13
- Sunday, April 13th
- 1:00pm-3:00pm, for ages 14+
- These auditions will include dance auditions; anybody interested in a named role or a featured dancing position should plan to stay through the dance audition.
- Those interested in a role: please be prepared for potential callbacks beginning Sunday, April 13th at 5:00pm.

- Set Builders/Painters: Build and paint the spooky and spectacular world of the Addams Family.
- Stage Crew: It takes a village to make scene changes and behind-the-curtains magic.
- Administrative Support: Help with the essential behind-the-scenes tasks that keep the production running smoothly.
