Kathy has been a member of the Titusville Summer Theater board for about 30 years. She serves as the board’s Treasurer. She did her first show with Summer Theater the year she moved to Titusville. Her debut was getting “goosed” by TK Stover’s character. She has been in every show, both on stage and behind the scenes, since “Call Me Madam” (1989). Kathy enjoys making every role memorable, no matter the size! Some of her favorite roles include: “Mrs. Higgins” in “My Fair Lady”, “Sister” in “Damn Yankees”, “Gertie” in “Oklahoma”! (a role where she is often remembered for her laugh), “Sister Margaretta” in “The Sound of Music” and “Ernestina” in “Hello Dolly”.
Her love for theater began when she played a loud obnoxious character, which was the opposite of her shy personality, as a freshman in high school. Kathy recently retired as a teacher with the Titusville Area School District after 35 years. In her spare time, she loves to visit the beach (specifically Marco Island, Florida), and she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family/friends. When she moved to Titusville, she knew no one, and Summer Theater quickly became her family. She looks forward to portraying more characters that are very different from her everyday life, and she looks forward to more summers with her Summer Theater family. |
